There are also a number of appointment released by the computer each day to be book on the day. If there are no routinely bookable appointments available for the day you require the following procedure should be followed.
- Ring at 8am for an appointment on the same day.
- Check with the receptionist if an appointment with the Nurse Practitioner is appropriate.
- If you are unable to get an appointment and you feel you need to be seen urgently, please explain your situation to the receptionist and they will speak to the Dr/Nurse Practitioner for further advise. You maybe direct to another service if this is appropriate ie Hub appointment, A&E etc.
Although the majority of morning appointments will be on the day appointments for acute/urgent problems and afternoon appointments will be predominantly pre-bookable.
You are welcome to see any of our doctors. If you prefer to see a particular doctor of your choice, we will try to accommodate your wishes, though you may have to wait slightly longer for an appointment.
As you can appreciate we try to run to time, however sometimes delays are unavoidable. To help us run to time we have a policy that if you are 10mins or more late for your appointment then you will have to re-booked another time.
